Summary:
A central control system for a smart woodworking edge-banding workshop, built on Delta DIAView X. It delivers three-level digital management covering workshop overview, line-level centralized control and single-machine process control, breaking information silos and improving inspection efficiency and edge quality.

Key Functions

1. Workshop Architecture: Dual Lines with Vertical Control Stations

The smart workshop is planned with two automated edge-banding lines under a distributed centralized control architecture. Vertical control workstations are deployed at the head and tail of each line as its control nodes.

Through 3D workshop simulation screens, the system visualizes line layouts and real-time edge-bander status, aggregates target capacity, actual output, processing speed and board meters for each line, and supports weekly capacity statistics—giving managers a single view of the whole workshop.

Value: Breaks information silos with workshop-level monitoring, making it easy to locate line bottlenecks and equipment abnormalities.

2. Line Control: Multi-Machine Monitoring and Remote Control

Line control screen

The line control page connects to multiple edge banders (Edge Bander #1 and #2) on the same line, displaying real-time process data and equipment status side by side.

Operators can view press-beam height and the PV actual / SV set values of the upper and lower glue tanks; monitor the start-stop status of modules such as glue separation, pre-milling, end cutting, fine trimming and polishing; configure channel parameters and switch high/mid/low speed gears; and collect alarms including low-temperature warnings, glue-roller stop, connection faults and equipment failures.

Value: One page controls multiple edge banders—no more switching between machine screens—enabling batch status inspection and parameter download.

3. Machine Control: Fine Process Control and Temperature Settings

Clicking a machine opens its single-machine control system for in-depth process management. All stations—pre-milling, preheating, end cutting, fine trimming, polishing and conveying—are visualized, with real-time alerts for homing, air supply and other statuses.

Conveyor speed, press-beam height, total output and other parameters can be viewed and set. Built-in recipe management allows saving, selecting and deleting production recipes for quick changeover between board types. The magazine function supports edge-band selection and manual feed/retract, distinguishing auto/manual modes for commissioning and maintenance.

A dedicated temperature settings dialog independently manages three temperature loops—PUR glue tank, EVA glue tank and EVA pre-melting—showing current temperature, working and standby set values, with standby/working mode switching for stable glue quality.

Value: Fine-grained machine process management with one-click recipes and precise glue temperature control—better edge quality and faster changeovers.
