This session introduces the Delta DIAView X SCADA software in three modules. It helps automation engineers quickly build a foundation in DIAView X and get familiar with software deployment and the development environment. The modules are listed below:

  DIAView X product overview: features, positioning and target industries of Delta's next-generation industrial SCADA software;

  Software download, installation and licensing: including the free 64-tag + 5-client trial activation mechanism;

  Development environment tour: the working interface, project structure, editing areas and toolbox.

This quick-start session walks through the complete project development and deployment workflow: creating a project, device communication configuration, tag management and building your first monitoring screen; online/offline preview and debugging; project compilation and packaging, download and upload, plus the runtime environment and backend management. After this session you can independently develop and debug a simple monitoring project.

This session covers the animation and graphics-library features of DIAView X: property animations including color, position, rotation, visibility and blinking, demonstrated with lines, ellipses and rectangles; pipe flow animations with start/stop, direction and speed control; and the built-in library of 1,000+ vector symbols plus custom image upload in SVG, PNG, JPG and GIF formats.
